Knights of Columbus Raffle The annual Ohio K of C raffle is a major source of funds for LaSalle Council’s charitable activities. At the state level, the proceeds support Catholic High School scholarships and grants to seminaries, and individual seminarians. They also support Diocesan, Religious Education and Veterans programs across Ohio. At the local level, the proceeds allow us to make donations to the Athenaeum, local charities that promote all life at every stage and other worthy causes as well as to St. I’s Bible Bowl, Young Christian Hearts, American Heritage Girls, Boy Scouts, and the festival. They also help fund our annual “Keep Christ in Christmas” campaign.
Twenty-five prizes will be awarded totaling over $108,000 that range from $500 to $49,860. Tickets are $5 each. This year we will again sell tickets at the St. I Fish Fry. We also can mail them to your home with a stamped return envelope if you are interested in purchasing 2 or more tickets. Just email knights@sainti.org with your name, address and how many tickets you would like to purchase. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

Braver Angels Workshops
March 7
Join us in Loyola Hall on Thursday, March 7 from 7-9pm for an interactive workshop presented by Braver Angels (https://braverangels.org/) in collaboration with our Archdiocesan Catholic Social Action & Respect Life offices. The Depolarizing Within Workshop helps participants look within to see how they may be engaging or participating in polarizing ways. The workshop offers participants the tools to develop strategies for engaging in political discussion without demonizing the other side. It also shows how to constructively intervene in social conversations with likeminded peers.
This workshop is designed to foster skills to recognize and lessen the effects of polarization when encountered within political conversations with your like-minded circle. When referring to “polarization,” Braver Angels is not referring to healthy disagreements over issues or philosophy. We are looking at how we regard and talk in polarizing terms about large groups of ordinary people on the other side of the political aisle. This 2-hour interactive workshop is for anyone interested in examining their own inner polarization and learning strategies to disagree without condemning or ridiculing others.
