Director of Adult Faith Formation and Outreach – St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, Cincinnati, Ohio

The parish invites qualified individuals to apply for a position to direct Adult Faith Formation; oversee Community Outreach Programs; and to assist a parish of 2500+ members in its evangelization efforts as it celebrates Jubilee Years. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • driving and engaging adults in the parish and community in the mission of evangelization
  • using creative talents to formulate ideas for parish retreats and missions, utilizing local and national Catholic leadership and speakers
  • promoting positive and deepened experiences for adult faith formation assisting current groups and generating new ones to meet the demands of the new evangelization
  • supervising and actively supporting current programs including but not limited to RCIA, Bible Studies, Retreats, and Sports Discipleship.
  • supervising (without direct management of) parish outreach groups, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society; Parish Health Ministry; Bereavement; Correctional Ministries, etc. 
  • enhancing the vibrancy of the parish through evangelization and spiritual renewal as it celebrates significant anniversaries.

Candidates must be actively practicing Catholics, possessing a passion for adult faith formation, an ability to collaborate and engage in teamwork, and effective communication skills (writing, public speaking, and social media), as well as a degree, preferably in theology, pastoral ministry, or religious education. Compensation is commensurate with experience and educational background.
