Director of Adult Faith Formation and Outreach
Adult Faith Formation
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Act as parish liaison for Adult Faith Formation groups
• Supervise and support lay volunteer leadership of current groups: RCIA, Bible Study groups, Mom’s Ministry, CRHP/Welcome (Men and Women), FATHERS group, Lighthouse Renewal Community
• Assess current programs for sustainability
• Oversee budget and expenses of AFF groups
• Order supplies for AFF groups such as books, materials, pamphlets, etc.
• Revitalize, supervise, and support the following groups in their ministries: Parish Mission, Vocations Committee, Bible Study groups, Theology of the Body for parents, Retreat Team
• Research opportunities for parish growth/renewal in AFF, particularly Young Adult formation/activities
• Supervise Youth Activities Minister with Sports Discipleship Program
• Co-lead, plan, participate and organize Religious Education and Spiritual Growth Committee meetings
• Support and lead adult faith formation opportunities presented by the RE&SG Committee
• Coordinate cooperative opportunities for help and support between parish groups
• Develop working relationships with neighboring parishes by attending CREA meetings
Community Outreach
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee Community Outreach groups:
• Homebound/hospital/nursing home parishioner visits
~ Regularly schedule priest/deacon visits
~ Organize Sacramental visits for priests
~ Assign and promote classroom/homebound partnership
• St. Vincent dePaul Society
• Parish Health Ministry
• Bereavement, Emergency Meals
• Jail Ministry
• Mission and Twinning Relationships
• Respect Life Activities
• Young Christian Hearts (special needs)
• Stephen Ministry
• Develop fellowship opportunities for families to promote community
~ Organize hospitality schedule of ministries
• Support and encourage participation in current service opportunities
• Shelterhouse
• Men’s group
Parish Jubilee Evangelization/Outreach Chairperson
• Participate in Jubilee planning committee (2020-2022)
• Research, develop, and implement Evangelization and Outreach opportunities specifically for the Jubilee celebrations
• Encourage and maintain continued evangelization as a result of Jubilee relationships
