The goal of #GivingTuesday, which is November 30 this year, is to rally our Catholic communities across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in support of the organizations that shape our souls: Our parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries. Donations made on Giving Tuesday, November 30 (through the portal) are not assessed by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
Donations made on Giving Tuesday (through the link on this page) are not assessed by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
This year, donations made to the parish on Giving Tuesday will again be used for upkeep and interior beautification of the church. Donate online: https://bit.ly/GiveCatholicAOCStIgnatius2021 or use the Text-To-Give option by texting the keyword “silchurch” to 513-880-2458. Thank you for supporting St. Ignatius of Loyola Church.
In years past, your generous donations have allowed for restoration of the Tablenacle, outdoor statues, and more!
Pilgrimage to St. Joseph Church, North Bend – November 19
You are invited to join other parishioners in a mini-pilgrimage (a physical spiritual journey!) on November 19 to St. Joseph Church, North Bend which is a dedicated shrine in this Year of St. Joseph. The Church has granted certain indulgences related to St. Joseph – see the other bulletin posting about indulgences (“Family Mission for Souls in Purgatory”).
We will seek to obtain a plenary indulgence on this pilgrimage, which will include a church tour at 6:30pm by Fr. Umberg (their pastor) with the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession available, Mass offered by Fr. Fernandes at 7pm, followed by time to socialize at 13 Below Brewery (families welcome!), just 6 minutes from St. Joseph Church. No need to RSVP – just plan to join us at St. Joseph Church (25 East Harrison Avenue, North Bend, OH 45052)! Contact Brad Macke with any questions: 513-661-6565, ext. 2743 or bmacke@sainti.org.
Five Week Video Series
The community engagement survey was taken to allow you to express how we can improve upon various aspects of our community. The five highly mentioned aspects that came out of the survey were:
• time
• personal reasons
• how the AOC handled Fr. Drew’s situation
• balancing volunteering at the school and church
• people need to feel welcomed and invited
Each week a new video will be released discussing one of the five aspects mentioned above. These videos can be found on our on YouTube channel – http://bit.ly/StIgnatiusChurch or see them on this page.
