Mater Filius – Room at the Inn, Knights of Columbus
Mater Filius Queen City is a home that helps pregnant women who lack the support of family or who are experiencing financial difficulties. Its services include providing a transitional residence for women during a crisis pregnancy, and helping mothers learn to appreciate and understand the great blessing that has entered their life and how to best care for that blessing in a healthy and stable manner. Its mission is to safeguard the life of the unborn child and defend the dignity of the child’s mother, regardless of how the child was conceived.
On December 5th and 6th following each Mass, members of LaSalle K of C will be collecting money for Mater Filius and will be giving away “Keep Christ in Christmas” car magnets as a thank you for your donation. They will be accepting cash or checks made out to Mater Filius Queen City. All donations will go directly to the home, and Knights of Columbus Insurance together with anonymous individual Knights have made a commitment to match the first $1000 collected. So Please Donate.
