For Parents of Adult Children • Listening Session

Listening session on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 7-8:30pm in the Ignatius Center (right side)

You probably know that a great number of young people who were raised Catholic no longer practice our Faith or consider themselves Catholic. Chances are, the situation is personal — your own child/ren, or young adults from your broader circle, have likely drifted, walked, or run away from the Church. Although it’s a familiar phenomenon, what does this exodus mean to us as parents? To us as families? To our parish and the universal Church? We can listen, support, and pray with one another as a starting point to address this challenge. Please consider sharing your story at a parents’ “listening session” on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 7-8:30pm in the Ignatius Center (right side). Then anyone interested is invited to join a study group of the book “Return” published by Word on Fire (https://www.wordonfire.org/return/) to receive support and concrete ideas on how to invite your adult children back to the Church. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to Brad Macke at bmacke@sainti.org or 513-661-6565 x.2743.
