Christ’s Resurrection is at the very heart of our faith. Yet like many who actually saw the Risen Christ but still refused to believe, there are also people today who find it hard to accept–or even to imagine–that resurrection from the dead is possible. Some, once finding the faith irrelevant to their daily lives, leave the Church–and who can blame them, since St. Paul himself says: “If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all.” (1 Cor 15:19). If you’re yearning for fresh insights into the Easter Mysteries, you’ll want to come to this special afternoon on Saturday, June 1st from 1:30- 4:00 p.m. in Hilvert Center. Sr. Lucy Zientek, CDP will guide us as we journey into the deeper dimensions of the Easter Gospels and discover their sometimes surprising revelations. How is it that we can say Jesus truly rose bodily from the dead? What is the connection between the Resurrection and the Ascension, and how can knowing this connection help break open the Scriptures for us on a new level of understanding? Why are the wounds of the Risen One a key to Easter’s revelation, and why does Christ immediately insist on the importance of forgiving one another?
