Are you no longer an 8 am to 4:30 pm person? Have a Mon., Wed., or Fri. afternoon open? The Pantry volunteers at Saint Leo’s would like to meet you; they welcome your participation to serve the poor and economically marginalized. We know Jesus spent most of his ministry time encouraging and helping the poor, and He calls us to do likewise. Says Parishioner Judy Middendorf, “In the spring of this year, my husband and I started volunteering at the St. Leo Food Pantry. We find it quite rewarding to help those who come to the pantry for groceries. Any person I have helped as a shopping escort has always been very cordial and grateful, which warms my heart. The pantry is always in need of more volunteers.

Our Junior High youth ministry kick-off has been postponed. The meeting will now be on Monday October 7, from 7pm to 8:30pm. Location TBD. This program is open to all 6th 7th and 8th graders. We will enjoy an evening of fellowship and games concluding in prayer. All are welcome! Please fill out a permission form located here. Contact ebranscum@sainti.org with your questions.

AHG collecting new socks and underwear for foster children When children are removed from their homes, they are often not able to take anything with them.

Please join us in providing for the needs of these children. New socks and underwear (kids-adult XXL) will be donated to foster children through Threads of Hope.

Donation boxes are located outside of the Parish Offices. Please drop off any items by September 8th. For more information, contact Michelle Korte at mkorte0731@gmail.com.

We are so excited to introduce you to the new Mom’s Ministry at St. Ignatius. We hope to create a community of moms that support each other in everyday “mom life” and in their relationship with Jesus. Help us connect the moms of the parish and make our big church seem small.

Please join us on September 9 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm for our fall kick-off in the Loyola Hall!
We will be discussing:

• Our fall small-group faith study which will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays, 7 to 8:30 pm;

• Our run/walk group;
• Our playdate groups;
• Our monthly prayer list;
• AND SO MUCH MORE!

We are working on offering to babysitting at these meetings and we’re in search of Virtus-trained adults to help us.
