Aftermass … What is it?

In reviewing and analyzing recent survey results by parishioners, it appears that almost 90% of us feel ill equipped, in varying degrees, to engage in conversation about the Catholic faith with others. Aftermass answers any faith question and will  better prepare us to engage in conversation with others. Aftermass will begin the weekend of Oct. 22. after 10:15am. When we were young and first learned the faith, we were a different person then than we are today. We were less mature and without any real-life challenges and experiences. As adults now, many of us look for answers from the Catholic faith that address the headlines and/or encountered cultural and moral issues of the day. Questions put forward might include: Why is the Church against vasectomies?  What about contraception?   Why is an annulment not just “Catholic divorce”?….. and the list goes on. Your questions can be written on a small note paper and placed in the orange box at the main entrance to church and following the 10:15 mass I or other clergymen will give concise and clear responses in the Behler Meeting Room. If you’re pressed for time, write your email address also and I will respond.  If Aftermass is successful, we will add it to other masses, of course, after mass!  Join us for coffee and some good answers when we begin in mid-October.
