Lenten Day of Retreat on Saturday, April 13th

Saturday, April 13, 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

We come together on this Saturday right before Palm Sunday for a time of reflection and prayer that can change and greatly deepen your experience of the coming Holy Week Triduum: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil: THE EUCHARIST: Rediscovering the HOPE at the heart of worship! Eucharist is meant to change the world. What happens as we gather each Sunday to celebrate is meant to make an impact far beyond the boundaries of our own lives and parish. Today, we will pray with and ponder the joy, the power and especially the hope to be discovered in the celebration of the Eucharist in the light of Jesus’ own Passover celebration. How can we rediscover and deepen our understanding and experience of the hope Christ offers us through his Passion and Death, and the liturgy that continues to make this present again for us? How can we help Christ offer our world a “future full of hope,” and why is that so important? And what might all this mean for the world today, where hope seems hard to find and hard to hold at times amidst the forces of division, conflict, and despair?

Please join us in Hilvert Center for this very special retreat. We’ll begin with the 9:15 a.m. Mass in Church! Call the Church Office (661- 6565) and let us know you’re coming!
