Our community, our nation and our world is facing a one of a kind challenge which impacts all of us. In addition to daily needs, individuals and families are experiencing heightened anxiety, stress and a new normal. St. Francis Seraph Ministries (SFSM) is one of the few local organizations with the ability to remain open without interruption providing eleven meals a week and mobile meal distribution. SFSM is committed to continuing to serve the community by providing nourishment, comfort, and security through love.
The SFSM Staff and a limited number of volunteers prepare meals in accordance to the new guidelines and provide “pick up” for both breakfast and dinner. In addition to breakfast and dinner, bag lunches are offered at meal times and on Sunday’s at lunchtime.
This year St. Ignatius Parish has the opportunity to support St. Francis Seraph Ministries during Holy Week in a unique manner. Please consider the following ways you and your family could help:
● Make a donation of food and/or supplies using the St. Francis Seraph Ministries Wish List at Amazon.com and ship these items directly to SFSM at 1615 Republic Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
● Visit the SFSM website at www.sfsministries.org and make a financial donation. Please type St. I Project 5000 in the custom message section of the donation form.
● Organize a food and/or bag lunch (sealed) supplies drive among your friends and family. Drop offs of these items can be arranged by contacting Jay Olzak, SFSM Food Service Director at jolzak@sfsministries.org.
● Schedule to be a volunteer at one of the meal times Monday-Friday by contacting Theresa Diersen, SFSM Volunteer Director at tdiersen@sfsministries.org.
● Send a check to St. Francis Seraph Ministries; 1615 Republic St.; Cincinnati, OH 45202. Please write St. I Project 5000 on the check memo line. Check can also be dropped off at the parish office.
