Tabernacle Restored

Our tabernacle has been beautifully restored. The doors on the tabernacle were repaired and the whole tabernacle was cleaned and refurbished. The word “tabernacle” means dwelling place. Just as God dwelt with the Israelites in the desert, so too in the Eucharist, God dwells with His people and remains waiting for us to visit Him and to adore Him. Recognizing His Presence is also important. It is for this reason, that a candle is kept burning, acknowledging His Presence. For this reason, we should always, if we are physically able, genuflect in the Presence of our King whenever we pass in front of the tabernacle or enter into or exit from our pew. For this same reason, we maintain a reverential silence in church, acknowledging that God is with us.
