Mr. Vance earned his B.S. Ed. in Special Education - Learning and Behavioral Disabilities from Ohio University, and his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Xavier University. He began his career in education at Summit Country Day Upper School as Teacher and Campus Minister. After earning his Master’s degree, he joined St. Vivian School as Principal. He later served Mercy Montessori Center as Assistant Principal, and most recently St. Margaret of York as Principal. He was recognized as Educator of the Year by the Cincinnati Jaycees. He serves as a Mentor for New Principals in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and received the Civitate Dei Award - Archdiocese of Cincinnati. In addition to his credentials as an educator and administrator, Mr. Vance trained as a Firefighter and Paramedic. He volunteers at Fernside Center for Grieving Children, and serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Bellarmine Chapel. With his family, he loves to snow ski, walk, see movies, travel, and do family history research. Mr. Vance grew up in Fairborn, Ohio and attended Mary, Help of Christians School, then went to Carroll High School in Dayton.

Mr. Meyer earned a BS in Middle Childhood Education with a Math/Science concentration from Xavier University in 2003. He later earned a Master’s in Special Education from Xavier University in 2013. Ever humble about his achievements as a teacher, he says, “I have won a grand total of zero awards. My awards and accomplishments take place in the form of the growth of my students.” When asked about his career path, he explained, “There once were places called "Book Stores." They were stores that sold books. I worked at one. I also worked in a pharmacy. I have held but one teaching job since 2003.” For fun, Mr. Meyer enjoys reading, watching baseball, and spending time with my family. Mr. Meyer was born and raised in the Cincinnati area. He says, “I grew up in Finneytown completely oblivious to Cincinnati's Westside / Eastside cultures. Mrs. Meyer and I have been together since the previous millennium and have three amazing children.”

Mrs. Schnur attended Mother of Mercy High School in Westwood and earned a B.S. in Early Education/Child Development from the University of Cincinnati, and a M.Ed. in Early Education/Child Development from the Erikson Institute from Loyola University in Chicago. Her previous employment includes: Early Education Administrator for the JCC (Jewish Community Center); Children Hospital, Children's for Children - Employee On-site Child Development Center; Middletown Regional Hospital, start-up and administrator of the employee On-site Child Development Center; College of Mt. St. Joseph Children's Center: start up and administrator of the Early Childhood for Students and Staff; Santa Maria Community Services Child Care Programs - Director; and Child Development Specialist for the State of Texas. She also taught Kindergarten in the San Diego Unified School District. She has led various programs through NAEYC Accreditation and Achieved the "5 star" rating through Ohio Step Up To Quality for the JCC Early Childhood School. Mrs. Shnur was recognized with the Gem Award from the Cincinnati Chapter of The Association for Women in Communications for being A Lifeline for Students at The College of Mount St. Joseph. Mrs. Schnur has traveled locally and internationally as a Validator for Early Childhood programs seeking NAEYC Accreditation, specifically Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany and Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. She enjoys spending time with her family, biking, and Jazzercise. “Nothing gives me more pleasure though than spending time with my precious seven grandchildren,” she says.

Mrs. Bailey earned her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Xavier University and worked for 10 years at The Summit Country Day School as a Montessori Teacher for 3-6 year-olds. She was a 2018 Candidate in the Men and Women of the Year Campaign raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She enjoys Zumba workouts, spending time with her family, attending St. Ignatius sporting events, and getting together with friends. A Cincinnati native, Mrs. Bailey went to McAuley High School (now known as Mercy McAuley) then onto Xavier University. She married her husband, Scott in 2006. They have two boys, Hudson and Zander, who attend St. Ignatius. In the summer she loves to relax by the pool and take her boys to Kings Island!

Miss Borchers graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, and began her career as a Pre-K teacher at John Paul II Catholic School. She has run several half marathons and looks forward to running her first full marathon. A part of her family’s Thanksgiving tradition is to volunteer at the Fall Feast at the Convention Center. She is a Northern Kentucky native and enjoys running, biking, hiking, and going on vacations. Her sister lives in Oregon, and where Miss Borchers stayed for a summer and worked with children in a camp setting.

Mrs. Cassiere attended the University of Cincinnati and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught 3rd grade for six years, 1st grade for eight years, and began teaching kindergarten in 2004. She says, “I enjoy traveling, doing home improvement projects and being with my family and friends.”

Mrs. Ray attended grade school at St. Antoninus, high school at Summit Country Day School, and college at Regis University in Denver, CO. Mrs. Ray worked for the Cincinnati Recreation Commission in Therapeutic Recreation directing recreation programs for special needs kids and adults. She also taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades at St. Martin of Tours. For fun she volunteers for Special Olympics and enjoys being a grandma.

Mrs. LaPine is an alumna of Seton High School. She earned her Bachelor's in Education and a Reading Endorsement from the College of Mount St. Joseph in the days before it became a University. She also minored in Mathematics. She says, “My pilgrimage to the Holy Land with School of Faith in 2017 was one of the highlights of my life! I enjoy reading, shopping, trivia, watching cooking shows, doing puzzles of any kind, and spending time with my family.”

Mrs. Tierney earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University to teach preschool through 3rd grade. She is currently pursuing her master’s at Xavier University in special education. She is a mentor teacher and has 12 years of experience working in first grade. Mrs. Tierney also worked for three years as 2nd grade teacher at St. Aloysius on the Ohio School. Mrs. Tierney volunteers with her husband at St. Teresa of Avila as director of the children's choir for their parish. She loves to spend time with her children/family, as well as walk, run, bake, decorate, garden, and attend sporting events.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Mrs. Dauer attended St. Ignatius for grade school and McAuley for high school. Then she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the College (now University) of Mount St. Joseph. She continued her studies at Xavier University, and earned a Masters degree in Education. St. Ignatius was her first job out of college, and she has been teaching at St. Ignatius since 2008. She has been a coach for Girls on the Run since 2010. She likes to spend time with her children and family.

Mrs. Rischmann completed her undergraduate studies at College of Mount St. Joseph (Elementary Education K-8). She earned her master’s degree (Elementary Education) and Intervention Specialist certification (mild/moderate K-12) from Xavier University. Mrs. Rischmann is lifelong a member of St. Ignatius parish and alumna of the school. She loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys reading, working on small home improvement projects, and watching college basketball.

Ms. Grote earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education for K-8 from Youngstown State University, and her Graduate degree in Special Education, College of Mount St. Joseph. Ms. Grote taught for four years in the Covington Diocese, and taught Kindergarten for 11 years at The Children's House, a charter school. Ms. Grote volunteered at Saint Leo the Great parish and taught English as a second language for five years. She currently volunteers at Our Lady of Visitation, her home parish. She enjoys being on the church decorating committee and the baptism committee. For fun, she likes hiking, swimming, and gardening. She says, “I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. I have four sisters and one brother. I moved to Cincinnati in 1980 where I raised my three beautiful daughters.”

Miss Cassaro attended The College of Mount St. Joseph for her undergraduate degree where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society and received the Education Department's Student Teaching Award. She completed her master's degree at Xavier University. Miss Cassaro is a mentor teacher. She has been St. Ignatius School’s Local Professional Development Committee representative since 2003. She is the current chairperson. She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Crowley received her bachelor’s degree from Thomas More College and earned her Master’s of Education in Reading at the College of Mount St. Joseph. She has taken numerous classes at Miami University, University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. She began teaching in 1980 and taught 2nd and 3rd grade students at St. Clare in College Hill (now closed) and here at St. Ignatius School. She also has been a teacher and co-director of St. Ignatius’ Parish School of Religion. Recently, she was a presenter at the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) Convention in Cincinnati. She says, “I respect and encourage the differences in each student’s learning style and has a strong commitment to Catholic Education that sees Jesus as a central part of each student’s learning. My primary goal is for each student in my classroom to have a safe, warm and caring environment in which to learn, where successes are applauded and mistakes are welcomed and learned from.” When not teaching, she enjoys time with her family, reading a good book, cooking a new recipe and experiencing the wonders of God’s creation while kayaking!

Miss Eichhold is a graduate of Xavier University. She has taught kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. She previously taught at St. Ursula Villa for four years. She has been a part of the 2nd grade team at St. Ignatius School since 2005. She is a lifetime member of St. Ignatius Parish. In fact, she was awarded the “Distinguished Alumna Award” in 2012! Over the years, she has been active in music ministry, as well as PSR, CRHP, VBS, and RCIA. She says, “I love to cook, travel, my faith, my family and friends, and I am a proud cancer survivor!”

Miss Schoenfeld graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2011 after studying special education. Then she returned to continue her studies and earn her Early Childhood license to become dually licensed. After earning her second licenses she decided to continue her studies at Mount St. Joseph University, and graduated in May 2018 with her Master’s in Reading Science. Miss Schoenfeld began her teaching career as a 4th grade Intervention Specialist at Summit Academy Community School. For the next two years, she was the Intervention Specialist for a multi-grade level classroom and taught students in K-2. Then she started at St. Ignatius and was the kindergarten Intervention Specialist for three years. She began teaching 2nd grade at St. Ignatius School in 2016. Miss Schoenfeld attended multiple mission trips to New Orleans to rehab homes after Hurricane Katrina. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, going to the zoo and going on adventures.

Mrs. Ernst has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cincinnati in Communication. She was a manager at a Law Firm for 15 years and then a Manager at a non-profit two years. She is currently attending classes to be Orton-Gillingham certified for the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Ernst has taught Children's Liturgy at St. Ignatius during 10:15 am Mass since 2013. She says that in her free time, she likes to, “spend time with my family. We go to Kings Island, the pool and vacation. I enjoy all crafts and baking.” Mrs. Ernst is originally from Columbus Ohio, and is a huge Ohio State fan! In 2004 married at St. Ignatius to her husband Rick. They have two children who attend school at St. Ignatius.

Mrs. Chouteau graduated from Miami University in 2015 and received her bachelor of science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. After realizing that she wanted to become a teacher, she went back to school at Mount St. Joseph University. She graduated in 2018 with her master of arts in teaching with an emphasis in inclusive early childhood education. She previously worked at All About Kids Childcare and Learning Center. Mrs. Chouteau loves to travel, shop, and go to Cincinnati Reds games. She says, “My family and friends are super important to me, so I love to spend time with them when I can! I have lived in Cincinnati my entire life with my parents and younger sister. My mom is a nurse, my dad is a firefighter, and my sister is in school to become a nurse.”

Mrs. Hein attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in her hometown, Charlotte, NC. She has a Bachelor’s in K-6 Elementary Education and a Master's in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford, University. She started her teaching career at St. Gabriel Elementary in Charlotte, NC as a long-term substitute in 5th grade. Over that summer, a 3rd grade teaching spot opened. She says, “I taught 3rd grade for four years and loved it!” She then taught 2nd grade two years, followed by one year teaching Computer class. After that she moved to Cincinnati and taught 4th grade for two years. Finally, she has moved back to 3rd grade at St. Ignatius School and has been teaching here ever since! She says, “It is important to me to spread the message about being kind, considerate, and compassionate towards others. I believe in the value of lifting others up and building confidence in their abilities as well.” In her spare time she loves to read, take walks downtown by the river with her husband, and shop!

Miss Koch earned her undergraduate degree from Xavier University in Middle Childhood Education. She also holds a Master’s from University of Dayton in Educational Leadership with a focus in Catholic Education. Before she started teaching, she ran a summer day camp and after school care program for the YMCA. She also worked at a Girl Scout Camp in high school. She says, “I travel a lot in the summer- most recently Greece, Boston and Maine. I have also been on the Holy Land pilgrimage. I currently have been to 31 states and hope to make it to all 50.” Miss Koch has a Boston Terrier named Maggie. They stay busy taking trips to the park and walks around downtown.

Mrs. Siemer attended Mount St. Joseph University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with reading endorsement and early childhood. She has been teaching 4th grade at St. Ignatius School since 1990. Mrs. Siemer is a Cincy Magazine Teacher, National Board Certified Teacher, Master Teacher for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and NCEA teacher of the year. In her free time, she enjoys baby rocking at Good Sam, reading, walking, and gardening. She says, “My whole world is my husband, my kids, and my dog.”

Mrs. Aluetto earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph for Inclusive Early Childhood Education, Reading Endorsement for K-12. For her post-graduate studies, she attended Xavier University to obtain a Fourth-Fifth Grade Generalist Endorsement. She has a graduate degree from George Washington University in International Education. She also attended a Spanish for Educators course at Northern Kentucky University. At St. William School she taught fourth through sixth grades. At St. Cecilia School she taught fourth and fifth grades. For Global Classrooms DC, she researched and wrote the Model UN curriculum, planned Model UN conferences held at the State Department, and Pan American Health Organization conferences attended by students from several states and countries. She also delivered teacher training on using Global Classrooms' curriculum and resources. For fun, she likes to hike, read, and sing in a choir.

Mrs. Davis earned her Bachelor’s in Special Education, Mild to Moderate, at the University of Toledo. She is currently working on Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education at Xavier University. Previously she worked at Summit Academy Cincinnati Elementary School as the 6th grade Intervention Specialist and the Intervention Teacher for Math 6th-8th grade. She says, “I created content specific to many individual needs of the students in my classes.” She enjoys travel, and has been to 10 countries, including a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. In her free time she likes baking, and hanging out with friends and family. Fun fact? “I grew up on a pig farm, my brother and dad still raise pigs,” says Mrs. Davis.

Mr. Foley has taught in Catholic schools since 1997. He says that through Christ, all students can learn and become the very best versions of themselves. Jesus is the heart of it all. Mr. Foley hails from the north country from Springfield. In high school, he taught Sunday school to first-grade children for four years and enjoyed it. He is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph and Xavier University, the latter where he received his Masters in education. He has worked various jobs: running the film projector and popcorn machine at a small movie house, an understudy to a haberdasher, and the night shift in a factory. His main influences on his teaching career are his former fifth-grade teacher Miss Mary Lubbers, his parents, both sets of his grandparents, and Groucho Marx. All taught him to realize that with God, faith, curiosity, and a sterling sense of humor, we can do wonderful things. This lesson he aims to pass onto his students: With God, there is always goodness and hope. Retracing the footsteps of Jesus when he was in the Holy Land changed his life. He hopes to visit again one day. He thinks his wife is amazing. He loves his kids. He reads far too much. He also has a deep affection for dogs. He sees the goodness and truth of St. Ignatius students. Viva Cristo Rey!

Mrs. Meyer attended The College of Mount St. Joseph earning a degree in Middle Childhood Education. At Xavier University, she has completed course work for a license in Special Education (Mild to Moderate), course work for a degree in Special Education, and Highly Qualified licensure in Education. She is also a Google-Certified Teacher. In addition to her current role, she was previously a 4th grade language arts and social studies teacher at St. Ignatius School. Prior to that, Mrs. Meyer worked at St. James where she was a 6th grade language arts and religion teacher. Mrs. Meyer has volunteered as a Girls on the Run coach since 2011. She says, “For fun I like to watch TV show series with my husband, read, bake, and go to Kings Island with my kids.” She adds, “I have two daughters and a son. My husband also works at St. Ignatius. We have a dog named Maya. I'm a very big fan of Starbucks!”

Mrs. Jonovski has a Master's in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, both from the University of Cincinnati. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham, a multisensory phonics technique for remedial reading instruction. She loves going to concerts, traveling to new cities, and hanging out with friends and family. Mrs. Jonovski is a Cincinnati native and comes from a family of educators!

Mrs. Anderson grew up in Minnesota, attending Winona Senior High School and Winona Technical College where she received a certificate as a Medical Secretary. She has worked for two plastic surgery groups, an accounting firm and was office manager at a Law/Accounting firm before staying home to raise her family. She started working at St. Ignatius when her youngest daughter began Kindergarten. Reading is her favorite thing to do when she has down time. She has been married for 27 years and has five daughters.

Miss Bojarski earned her Undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in Adolescent Education to teach grades 7-12 Integrated Science and Earth and Space Science. She has been teaching at St. Ignatius since 2016.

Mrs. Hericks attended the College of Mount St. Joseph and earned her Bachelor's in elementary/special education. She began her teaching career at Springer School and Center. Before going to college, she worked at a Cincinnati law firm as a secretary/administrative assistant. She is a volunteer cuddler in the NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital. Spending time with family and cuddling are her favorite activities.

Mrs. Huebner attended the College of Mount St. Joseph, earning an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education (Mild to Moderate). She started her career at Linden Grove School, where she taught for 12 years and worked with students with autism as well as other disabilities as a classroom teacher. She says, “This school focused on the needs of the whole child, and I was able to learn a wealth of information from my co-workers (specialists, teachers, therapists) while I was there.” Mrs. Huebner is trained in Orton Gillingham, Lindamood Bell for Reading Comprehension, and Bal-A-Vis-X. She has lived in Cincinnati her whole life. Most of her free time is spent with her husband and son.

Mrs. Reynolds attended Mount St. Joseph University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, then went to Xavier University to earn a master’s degree in Administration. Prior to joining the St. Ignatius community, she also taught fourth grade at St. John the Baptist, Harrison, and worked at St. Vincent Ferrer, Kenwood for math intervention. Mrs. Reynolds volunteers a lot at LaSalle high school and serves on their Parent Council. She is also a LaSalle Football Mom that coordinates various events for the football teams. She says, “I like to spend time with my family at their sporting events. I also enjoy cooking for my family and friends. I am married and have four sons and a girl dog!” Mrs. Reynolds was born and raised in White Oak, attended St. James, then McAuley. She adds, “I truly love teaching math at St. Ignatius. It was my dream years ago to teach math all day in a great school and I live that dream every day!”

Mrs. Zeiser graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology, also from Miami University. She has worked for the Hamilton County Educational Service Center for 13 years. She has been contracted out to the Northwest Local School District, St. Bernard School, St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, and Beautiful Savior Lutheran School. She has worked with preschool, elementary, middle school, and some high school students on building and supporting their speech and language skills. The work that she did for her thesis was used along with additional research as a poster presentation at the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association annual conference. She enjoys spending time with family, baking, reading, and traveling, as well as volunteering at Vacation Bible School and with Girl Scouts and sports teams. “Supporting fundraising for cancer research is also dear to my heart,” says Mrs. Zeiser. Mrs. Zeiser was born and raised in Cincinnati. She and her husband, Jarrod, have three children (Julia, Evan, and Nora) who are also students at St. Ignatius. She says, “I am excited to be here!”

Mrs. Wissel received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. Her teaching career began in 1991 at St. Catherine’s School where she taught for five years. She came to St. Ignatius School in 1996. She says, “I feel privileged to be a significant part of the student’s lives for nine years. My philosophy is to help each student develop self -confidence, cooperation, sportsmanship, life-long fitness habits and how to be a better person. I will provide the students a safe and cooperative learning environment where all the students are able to grow and develop to their full potential.” In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, attending University of Cincinnati athletic events and hanging out with her family.
