The mission of Girl Scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts started over 100 years ago when our founder, Juliette Low, organized the first Girl Scout Troop in 1912. Since then, with the help of adult leaders, girls have been discovering their strengths, passions, and talents through a variety of activities and a dedication to serving their community. Girl Scout troops at St. Ignatius serve girls from Kindergarten-Grade 8 and meeting times vary by the individual troop.
Girl Scouting recognizes the importance of spirituality and our troops participate in Religious Recognition Programs in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Office Of Youth And Young Adult Ministry, and St. Ignatius Parish.
The Marian Medal Award Ceremony is for current eighth-grade girls who have completed the program.

New Registrations
All new registrations MUST go through the St. Ignatius School Coordinator. Do NOT register your daughter on the GSWO website without consulting with the School Coordinator for placement AND receiving the appropriate troop number for your daughter. THANK YOU!
Can’t Wait To Be A Girl Scout?
There will be an opportunity to learn more about the Girl Scout program and connect with experienced troop leaders at the Ice Cream Social in August. Families may also complete an Interest Form for their daughter at that time. In addition, a Troop Formation Meeting will be held in August/September for Kindergarten and 1st grade families. For information about joining an existing troop, forming a new troop, or for additional Girl Scout details, please contact our School Coordinator.
