Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Penance and Reconciliation is central to the Catholic Church as a sacrament instituted by Christ, providing the penitent with God’s mercy and forgiveness. Through confession, this sacrament reconciles sinners with God and the Church, restores lost grace, heals spiritual wounds, and provides the gift of absolution after mortal or venial sins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
