Peace & Justice
The St. Ignatius’ Peace And Justice Committee strives to: be a resource and support for parish endeavors to live out the Gospel message; update ourselves on Catholic social teaching and promote it in the parish; promote and participate in the works of social justice.
“Social justice” is the Christian virtue that addresses the causes of social sin. It seeks a long-term solution to change structures that create more poverty and inequities in our world.
Among the many advances sponsored annually by the Peace and Justice Committee is the “Soup-er” Bowl Sunday Collection and the Ash Wednesday Soup Supper.
Members meet every other month on the second Monday, beginning in September and ending in July. The meetings go from 7:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m
